What the classes mean

Class I · Most serious. FDA's highest level: products that could cause serious health problems or death.

Class II · Moderate. It may cause temporary health problems, or the risk of serious harm is remote.

Class III · Low risk. Not likely to cause health problems, but it breaks a labeling or manufacturing rule.
