What the classes mean

Class I ยท Most serious. FDA's highest level: products that could cause serious health problems or death.

Class II ยท Moderate. It may cause temporary health problems, or the risk of serious harm is remote.

Class III ยท Low risk. Not likely to cause health problems, but it breaks a labeling or manufacturing rule.
